Celestún & Sisal

We spent a day exploring Celestún and Sisal, both port towns on the Yucatan Gulf coast. We had hopes of viewing some flamingos but unfortunately we struck out, although we did catch a glimpse of them through the mangroves. We had lunch at a beachfront restaurant in Celestún, which was very underwhelming and over priced. However, the flan I ordered was pretty good. ( La Cubanitas in Mérida has the best flan IMHO) Next we drove to Sisal which had a great feel to it and we would definitely return to this cute little village for a day at the beach.
