An Easy Ride

Today’s ride saw us break a record at 50kms, which funnily, seemed way easier than last weeks 40kms. Maybe it was the beautiful sunshine, the absence of a headwind, the good tunes or it could of been the donut and coffee we stopped for at Tim Hortons in Lake Country. Whatever it was, it made for a perfect day of riding.

As we rode along Kalamalka Lake I spotted some pretty big fish and lots of them too and wondered what kind they were. We also saw some cute little ducklings and goslings not straying too far from the protection of their moms. We also passed 3 other couples riding tandems. It makes me wonder if they are renting them out at the trailhead in Coldstream. I have to say my competive self was pleased as punch we were able to pass one couple.

There was quite a bit of haze in the sky blowing in from the wildfires in Alberta. I sure hope they get some rain soon.
